Kinetic Art Sculpture Vehicles are the result of art meeting engineering (or is it engineering meshing with art?) combined with a dash of common sense and even more bravado and can-do spirit. While the creators may believe their sculpture is a work of art, they understand the vehicle must be put to the test!

These human-powered, pedal-pushed, collections of gears, metals and assorted art materials (and a teddy!) show off their abilities by going over land, sand, mud and water!

What inspires the artists to create sculptures in all the wild and funky structures?  Besides a muse, The Graand Kinetic Challenge offers a yearly theme to be interpreted by the teams.

This summer the theme is "FULL STEAM AHEAD."  We look forward to enjoying how teams apply this to their art!
